It was a night that was supposed to be all about Miami’s newest designated player, Gonzalo Higuaín instead it was all about the Philadelphia Union’s homegrown player Anthony Fontana. Fontana once again gave a great performance, that is going to create a headache for team manager Jim Curtin when it comes to the selection of the starting XI. It was during the 25th minute when the 20-year-old got his fourth goal of the season.
Fontana was not the only bright spot for the U, as there were plenty of play from the attackers. In the second half Brenden Aaronson, another homegrown player, showed he can get creative with the ball as well. Aaronson ran down the right side and dribbled across the field, where Sergio Santos was open. Santos then slipped it to Przybylko, who basically attracted all of Miami’s defenders, got it over to Ilsinho who tapped it in. Truly a team effort and shows how great this team can be when everyone is clicking together.
That is my take for Sunday’s game, now we want to hear what you think. Fill out our Community Player Ratings survey.
