Schedule change creates a Monday Night Football matchup for the Union

The Union are now playing Monday in New England because of the NFL’s Patriots.

With six games remaining there has been a change to the Philadelphia Union’s schedule. This Sunday, the Union were supposed to once again take on the New England Revolution, but that game will now be played the following night on Monday, October 19.

The reason is the other football team in Massachusetts, the New England Patriots, will now play their game against the Denver Broncos at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, October 18. This game was postponed from last week and was supposed to be played Monday, October 12.

Union fans who want to watch the boys in blue next Monday will be able to see the game on PHL17 and will be streamed on the Union website in-market. The team has announced that kickoff for the Union vs Revolution game will happen at 7:30 p.m.

The Union, which sit in second place in MLS’ Eastern Conference, has six regular season games left.
