Philadelphia Union Academy and YSC Academy grad Nick Pariano had a night to remember in his first home game for the Duke Blue Devils.
The 17-year-old freshman midfielder scored the only goal of the game deep into the second overtime period to lift Duke to a 1-0 win over NC State.
It was the Michigan native’s second collegiate game.
Duke fell 4-2 to Kalil ElMedkhar, a Union Academy grad from Middletown, Del., and the University of Kentucky in their first competitive match of the fall.
