Evan Slabicki advances Union II to quarterfinals of USL eCup

Evan Slabicki and Union II are moving on.

The Philadelphia Union senior group sales executive, who is playing for CityTeam Chester, kept on rolling in his first knockout round bout with El Paso Locomotive player Logan Ketterer by a 3-1 series victory. Slabicki came back to win the final two games after splitting the first two games in the round of 16 match in the Rocket League competition.

Slabicki will next face Tacoma Defiance midfielder Josh Atencio on April 21 at 7 p.m. in a match broadcast on ESPN3.

Slabicki is now 4-0 in the competition thus far, his opponents all players — Kevin Silva from TFCII, Joey Farrell from Phoenix Rising, Elijah Martin from San Diego Loyal and Logan Ketterer on Tuesday night.
