Players from the Philadelphia Union and the rest of Major League Soccer will be kept out of training for at least another week, according to a moratorium that was extended by the league to March 27 April 3.
Players have been instructed to stay in-market and practice safe social distancing. The Union last trained at the Power Training Complex in Chester on March 12.
“At this time, team training facilities may only be accessed for physical therapy purposes at the direction of club medical staff to ensure adherence to safety protocols,” a statement released on March 20 reads. “MLS remains in close contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) on this continually evolving situation and will provide further updates as they become available.”
