After taking a 1-0 lead in the first half behind an Issa Rayyan goal, Union II put on a second half offensive show with four goals to defeat West Chester United Friday night at Subaru Park.
The game was Union II’s second friendly against a Northeast Elite Soccer League opponent since their 2020 season ended. They lost 3-1 to Baltimore club Christos FC on Power Training Complex fields in Chester on October 24.
Rayyan scored the opener in that game as well, but Union II conceded three unanswered goals to the visitors to drop the game.
On Friday night, they took advantage in the second half with West Chester United resting some starters ahead of a state cup battle with Vereinigung Erzgebirge in two days.
Danny Flores (penalty), Selmir Miscic, Axel Picazo and Jack Jasinski all put in the goals. Miscic scored on a well-taken free kick just outside the box and Picazo buried a lovely strike from distance.
