At Home x3: Providence Upset Watch with Keasel Broome and Nick Sailor

Delaware native Keasel Broome and former teammate Nick Sailor discuss the big moments of their careers at Providence College

The 2014 and 2016 seasons were significant ones for Providence College soccer.

In 2014, the men’s soccer team won the Big East Conference championship at PPL Park in Chester and advanced all the way to the College Cup. Two years later they had one of the more insane comebacks in college soccer history with four unanswered goals in 12 minutes to knock off undefeated Maryland in the tournament.

Delaware native and Barbados international Keasel Broome and his formed teammate Nick Sailor joined me on Zoom this week to talk all about their experiences playing together on the 2013 and 2014 teams.

After talking about their College Cup run in 2014, Nick shares his memories playing and scoring in the game against Maryland and Keasel talks about following along back in Harrisburg, where he was a goalkeeper for the City Islanders at the time. They also debate whether Nick’s goal was a cross or a pass and wax nostalgic about their time at PC, where Nick is back working in the athletic department as director of training and education for diversity, equity and inclusion.
