The Bethlehem Steel were back at Goodman Stadium on Saturday, June 22 for the first time since last fall to face the first place Tampa Bay Rowdies and after a slow start mounted a late rally that fell short in a 2-1 loss. Captain James Chambers made his 100th appearance in the match and became the all-time leading goal scorer with his 16th goal on a penalty kick in second half stoppage time.

Philadelphia Union players Matt Freese, Mark McKenzie, Matt Real and Anthony Fontana featured for the Steel.
