Going in as underdogs in front of the large crowd expected at Mercedez Benz Stadium in Atlanta, the Philadelphia Union will have their work cut out for them in the Eastern Conference semifinal tonight.
Some people might be headed down to the game to support the boys in blue in person, but for the rest of us we will have to do what we can back home in the Delaware Valley (and if you’re one of the Doopy Brothers, Virginia).
The Union will be hosting official watch parties at Yards in Philadelphia and PJ Whelihan’s in Newtown Square. Sebastien Le Toux will be in attendance at the party at Yards (located at 500 Spring Garden) and you will have your chance to win some gear. Fred will be hosting the party in Newtown Square (4803 West Chester Pike). There’s more information and an RSVP form on the Philadelphia Union website.
The Larimer Beer Company is also hosting fans at their brewery near Talen Energy Stadium.
Other fans are hosting their own thing and calling fans from around the area to meet them out at the party like an impromptu gathering at The Green Parrot in Newtown, Pa.
Some Delaware fans will be also headed to Stoneys Pub in Wilmington for the game.
The Sons of Ben will be bringing some fans down to ATL for the game. For the rest of the SOBs in the area, there are a number of other parties like one at Zeds Beer Company in Marlton, N.J., Franklins Pub in East Falls, SouthHouse in South Philly, and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company in Bucks County.
You can find out more information on these events on the Brotherly Game Facebook page.
If you know anywhere else that will be having the game on, make sure that you comment below or reach out to us so that we can let everyone else know.
The Union will face off against Atlanta United Thursday night at 8 p.m. EST on ESPN2.
