Philadelphia Union hosting a CCL semifinal watch party

While the team is in Mexico, join fellow Union fans at Brauhaus Schmitz

In less than six days the Philadelphia Union will lineup for the most important match in the club’s history. This is because it is the first leg of the semifinals against Liga MX powerhouse Club America in the Concacaf Champions league. The team will also be playing inside one of North America’s famous stadiums, Estadio Azteca.

If you didn’t book a vacation to Mexico City, Mexico this week to watch the boys in blue play in this match. Don’t worry the team is throwing a local watch party so fans can Doop together when the team scores.

The August 12th watch party takes place at South Philly’s German bar Brauhaus Schmitz. If you don’t know where that is, it is at 718 South Street. Make sure you are ready for a late night as well, kickoff for the game is at 10:00 PM!

It isn’t all about the late-night kickoff, as the party gets underway at 8:30 PM. The team says there will be drink specials and live music. Fans can also take part in on-site Union giveaways. Ring of honor member Sebastien Le Toux will be in attendance, and he is bringing with him some hardware, the Supporters Shield.

The Union will host the second leg against Club America at Subaru Park. That game happens on Wednesday, September 15. The kickoff for that game is at 9:00 PM.
