Davó will wear the No. 7 jersey

Newly acquired Philadelphia Union forward Matheus “Davό” Alvarenga de Oliveira will be wearing the No. 7 shirt for the boys in blue.

Davό will be the fifth No. 7 in team history.

Fellow Brazilian Fred da Silva was the first to wear the number in the Union’s inaugural season. Brian Carroll wore it from 2011 until his final season in 2017, then David Accam in 2018 and 2019 and Andrew Wooten in 2019 and 2020.

The 21-year-old Davό is on loan from Brazilian club Corinthians through the end of the season. The Union has an option to purchase him after the loan ends.
