Philadelphia may be cheering on Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ new soccer team. The new away kit for Wrexham AFC, maybe familiar to fans who head to the sports complex on Sundays in the fall. That is because the kit is inspired by the Eagles.

That isn’t the only nod to the city of brotherly love, on the kit’s back just under the collar is the word’s It’s Always Sunny. For those who do not already know, McElhenney, a Philadelphia native, stars in the long running sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
If you are looking to rock the green in Philly, it might be tough. As of Thursday night the 2021/22 Away kit was sold out of most Adult sizes on the team’s store. No word on if the online store will get restocked with the away kit.
Looking good, boss

You may recall that Wrexham AFC was supposed to play a game against the Philadelphia Union in Chester. That game was supposed to happen Thursday night. The team’s U.S training tour was called off earlier this month due to Covid-19 concerns. Within the club statement on the cancelation, they did say they hope to bring the game to light within the next year. So there is still hope that Subaru Park will be filled with blue and green jerseys at a future date.
