Atlantic City FC had a strong showing in a game nationally televised on beIN Sports Xtra but in the end it was the Maryland Bobcats celebrating winning the Mid-Atlantic group in the NISA Independent Cup.
The match was played at Rowan University in Glassboro.
The Aces kept their pro counterparts in check for over an hour but Eduardo Jimenez’s goal off an assist from Pilawe Patrick Pato in the 62nd minute ended up being the decisive moment not only for the game but for the competition.
Atlantic City FC finished the competition with one point — a 1-1 draw with Steel Pulse — in their three matches. Steel Pulse beat Allentown United 3-0 in the other Mid-Atlantic match on Saturday.
Allentown United finished with a 1-0 win over Atlantic City FC at home and losses to Maryland Bobcats and Steel Pulse.
A huge shoutout to our @NISALeague Independent Cup group-mates @pulse_fc, @AllentownUnited, and @AtlanticCityFC.

A fantastic region and can't wait to see where these teams and players continue to build to. We know we'll be seeing them in the future and wish them all the best!
