Penn FC Lightning 2004 girls team beat Los Angeles SC 2-1 in the U17 girls semifinal to set up a rematch with Utah Celtic, which they beat 2-1 to open group play on Tuesday. The match kicks off at 8:45 a.m. and will be streamed live on the U.S. Youth Soccer YouTube account.
Real Jersey FC’s 2004 boys had a much less dramatic go of things on Saturday with a 7-0 win to book their third consecutive finals appearance (they won as U15s in 2019 and lost as U14s in 2018). PA Dominion FC, which lost to Real Jersey in the 2019 final, wasn’t able to get an opening goal to hold up in their semifinal loss to Sparta United, which beat Real Jersey 2-0 to capture the top spot in their bracket on Wednesday.
The U17 boys final kicks off at 11:15 a.m. and will be streamed live on the U.S. Youth Soccer YouTube account.
Villanova Soccer Academy 2007 boys, Real Jersey FC 2006 girls, PA Dominion FC 2004 boys and Keystone FC 2003 girls all saw their quests for a national championship end in heartbreak on Saturday.
