Game Update

90+3’ - Final Whistle here at 9:31 p.m. It was tough for the Union to get anything going on their end when you spent most of the game down a man.

90+1’ - We will have at least three minutes of extra time here. Also City is making a few changes here.

90’ - Union earn a free kick on the right ring of the penalty box. It doesnt connect with anyone and goes out for a free kick.

87’ - Giving and Go goes a little too far for NYCFC inside the box. However the Union fouls them outside the box and the free kick ends up with a goal kick.

85’ - We have another Union sub here with Sullivan, making his MLS regular season debut, is replacing Burke.

82’ - Free kick here for the Union after przybylko goes down. Nothing comes from the free kick.

78’ - Lets just forget about this free kick that the Union had. They were about 40 yards out and tried a quick restart. It sounded like the ref blew it dead, however Sean Johnson grabs the untouched ball and sends it flying up field.

76’ - City making a few changes here.

73’ - Burke’s cross from the right side of the box is blocked. The ball goes out for a goal kick.

65’ - Glesnes miss hits it off the chest and turns the ball over right in front of Blake. NYCFC is there to convert the miscue into a goal.

63’ - Union finally doing something here in the final third, including getting their first shot on target and it just hits the top of the net.

60’ - The changes have been made and its Przybylko for Santos,Wagner for Real and Flach for Fontana.

59’ - Jim Curtin talked at Half about trying to get to the 60’ and keeping the game still at 1-0. Looks like the three starters who were resting will be coming into the game.

55’ - Glesnes does a great job to block the ball, but does a poor job of keeping control of it.

53’ - NYCFC corner kick gets delivered into the box. Union couldn’t clear the ball and New York is able to get a shot off, but it is saved by Blake.

49’ - Blake stretches out to push the ball out of the net. Monteiro goes down on the pitch and thankfully walks off on his own.
