Poll: Is Ray Gaddis a lock for the Philadelphia Union Ring of Honor?

Jim Curtin thinks so

Morgan Tencza

No sooner had the news of Ray Gaddis retiring settled did the topic of the Philadelphia Union Ring of Honor come up.

Should Gaddis join Sebastian Le Toux, the first and only player inducted to date, in the ring?

Head coach Jim Curtin certainly thinks so.

“The next stop for Ray Gaddis should be the Union Ring of (Honor),” Curtin said Thursday.

Gaddis certainly has a case on the longevity front and for how important his presence was in the locker room and in the community.

He spent his entire career (nine seasons) with the team and retires the all-time club leader in appearances, starts and minutes played. He logged 18,702 minutes, 221 matches and 211 starts. Those numbers are impressive, but Ring of Honor impressive?
