A report has surfaced in Germany identifying 20-year-old Texas-born Leon Flach as an incoming transfer target for the Philadelphia Union.
Using the translated headline “From St. Pauli to the Champions League,” Bild reports that the deal will bring in 250,000 Euros (nearly $300,000 U.S.) for the club, which has him under contract until 2022.
A holding midfielder and left back, Flach has made 9 appearances for FC St. Pauli in the 2. Bundesliga and scored a jaw-dropping goal back in January.

Since he was born in Humble, Texas, Flach would not count as an international for the Union, which is already one short of an international spot for Scottish defender Stuart Findlay.
