In a non-league battle of teams from Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Haverford College topped visiting Rutgers-Camden 1-0 on a first half Olimpico and a timely save with four minutes remaining.
Defender Max Mouer was able to score the game’s only goal off a corner kick in the 26th minute and Rutgers-Camden pushed for an equalizer that never came.
Off a corner kick of their own with four minutes remaining the ball fell to Ian Bialy in the box and his goal-bound shot was denied by a finger tip save from Aaron Cohen, who combined with Ben Menko for the clean sheet.
The Fords improved to 4-6-1 on the season with the win while the Scarlet Raptors fell to 5-5-1 on the season.
