How to watch: Philadelphia Union vs New York Red Bulls

Union are searching to get a W in the latest rivalry matchup with that North Jersey team

MLS: U.S. Open Cup-New York Red Bulls vs Philadelphia Union Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

The rivalry gets back underway tonight when the Philadelphia Union host the New York Red Bulls. Last season saw the first ever playoff meeting between the two teams, and the U sent them out of the playoffs.

The boys in blue come into the match looking for 3 points. Last game, the U started slow and it took them about 20 minutes to get their first shot off. Afterwards team manager, Jim Curtin said “We know we need [to] be sharper and we will be next week.”

Looking at the availability list, two players are listed as questionable. Kai Wagner is dealing with a lower leg contusion. Also listed as questionable is Aurelien Collin, who is suffering from leg pain.

Lining up against the Union are the team from Jersey. The Red Bulls come into Tuesday’s match off a win against NYCFC. In that game, the team named after an energy drink, team manager Chris Armas changed up his tactics and went back to a 4-2-3-1. It will be interesting to see if they continue that tactic Tuesday night.
