The game could have been completely different with a few different or worse decisions from the officials. In the 5th minute Portland appeared to have taken the lead when Chris Duval hit an absolute banger from outside of the box to clean up a Timbers set piece, but Eryk Williamson was correctly ruled offside with the help of VAR.

Official: Orlando City Signs Brazilian Forward Matheus Aias
Matheus was believed to have joined on a free transfer after securing his exit from Watford. Orlando City indicated there was an undisclosed fee. The Brazilian didn’t actually play for Watford, as he has been on loan to Club Deportivo Mirandés — located in Castile and León, Spain —since 2018.
