There’s really no reason to do a poll of our readers to determine who the most valuable player was for the Philadelphia Union during the MLS is Back Tournament.
They’ve already spoken, giving Andre Blake the highest individual rating in four of the six games the Union played in the bubble.
He finished with the highest rating on the team again with a 4.35 average after showing up big to keep the Timbers within striking distance for a late comeback that was spoiled by the linesman on Kacper Przybylko’s would-be equalizer.
Blake was outstanding in Florida, bailing out his team on a number of occasions and is deserving of the accolades he’s since collected being named the goalkeeper of the tournament and being included in the Best XI.
His 4.35 average rating was the lowest for the top finisher in the poll since Mark McKenzie held the top spot with a 3.15 average rating after the season opening loss at FC Dallas.
Kacper Przybylko had the lowest rating from the Portland game after a frustrating night.
