The Philadelphia Union will face the New England Revolution in a Round of 16 of the MLS is Back Tournament on Saturday night at 10:30 p.m.
The Union learned their opponent early Wednesday morning with the completion of the final Group C match between Montreal Impact and DC United. The Impact won the match 1-0, giving the Revs second place in the group and a date with the Union. DC United was eliminated from the MLS is Back Tournament.
The Union had a 6-1 win over the Revs last season and tied 1-1 in Foxborough. Revs head coach Brad Friedel was fired five days after they lost in Chester and the 1-1 draw was Bruce Arena’s fifth game after taking over as head coach and technical director.
