In just a few days Philadelphia Union fans will get their first chance to hear from the U’s newest owner, Kevin Durant. This and more are part of the Philadelphia Union Foundation’s virtual fundraiser. The fundraiser is happening Tuesday, June 30 at 7 p.m.
Tickets for the event range from $25 to $40. Both options are for the entire household. The more expensive option includes a raffle ticket to win signed Philadelphia Union apparel.
The event, which is being hosted by Union announcer, Kevin Casey, will feature a player question and answer session. Fans will be able to interact with the team’s captain Alejandro Bedoya, Mark McKenzie, Kacper Przyzbylko and Andre Blake.
There will also be a panel discussion with the team’s leadership. That panel features team manager Jim Curtin and minority owners Richard Leibovitch and Steve Graham. The news release also mentions that the event will also feature a special guest appearance with new Union owner, Kevin Durant.
Funds raised at the event will go directly to the foundation’s community initiatives under “Fight for Philly,” which has included distributing meals to healthcare workers at local hospitals and to residents in Chester along with PPE (personal protective equipment) to area healthcare workers.
