Concacaf Olympic Qualifying and the Generation adidas Cup finals were both canceled on Friday.
Brenden Aaronson, Mark McKenzie and Matt Freese had already begun training for the Olympic Qualifying tournament with the United States U23 team ahead of their first game on March 20 against Costa Rica.
The Philadelphia Union Academy U17 team was slated to play in the Generation adidas Cup finals in Frisco, Texas from April 4-11. The U.S. Soccer Development Academy announced the suspension of operations on Thursday through April and canceled the 2020 Allstate Spring Cup.
Aaronson, McKenzie and Freese were expected to return to Philadelphia on Friday morning. All players for the Philadelphia Union were told Friday to stay home and not report to the Power Training Complex in Chester. As of right now, players will be able to report back to the team on Monday.
