Lancaster County native Sean O’Hearn became the latest player with experience playing for PA Classics to move on to the professional ranks.

O’Hearn recently signed a pro contract with USL League One club New England Revolution II.

The Mountville, Pa. native and Hempfield grad was part of the Georgetown team that won the 2019 NCAA National Championship but missed a chance to play out his final season when the Big East season was suspended because of Covid-19.

A defender, O’Hearn was part of the PA Classics setup from 2011-2017 and spent time with the United States U19 team prior to college. He recorded five assists in 62 games and 61 starts for the Hoyas over his three seasons on the Hilltop.

His signing was one of four made by Revolution II on Monday.

He joins a lengthy list of PA Classics alums in professional soccer, including Chelsea FC midfielder Christian Pulisic, veteran Houston Dynamo defender Zarek Valentin, DC United midfielder Russell Canouse, USL veteran defender Todd Pratzner and Sacramento Republic midfielder Drew Skundrich.
