Community Corner: ‘The Office’ XIs

Luke and AJ in their most recent episode of The Doopy Brothers podcast had a little fun after talking about the Columbus loss and Sunday’s big showdown with New England with a Supporters’ Shield on the line.

While it has nothing to do with the Philadelphia Union, Luke and AJ decided to pick starting lineups based on characters from The Office.

AJ’s team is built on secondary characters with Robert California (“master of the dark arts”) and Charles Minor (“noted soccer fan”) as his center backs and Todd Packer being the lone striker (“the man scores”). His midfield is focused on chemistry using a Dwangela double pivot and Jim, Michael, and Andy combining up the right side.

Luke’s team is built on pairings such as Kelly at RB pushing Ryan (RW) up the right side. Meredith and Roy create a combination of force and mind games in central defense, Dwight is the central defensive midfielder, holding everything together (as he does). A Michael, Jim, and Pam attacking triangle relies on the show frontrunners. Since you have to be crazy to play goalkeeper, Creed was Luke’s call in goal.

Most importantly, both picked Mose at left back for the same exact reason; the man can run.
