Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin almost always makes it a point to thank fans in his weekly and post-game press conferences with media.
Even when fans weren’t allowed in the stadium this season, he was singing their praises and greeting a group of fans that gathered outside the gates after leaving the field.
On Wednesday, he took his gratefulness for the fanbase to a whole new level with a full page advertisement in the A section of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“We did it for the fans — all the people like me that love Philly teams in a special way that no other city can match,” Curtin wrote in the ad. “So thank you, Philly. This was for you. And believe me — we still want more.”
