Several players with local ties are on the list of those eligible for tomorrow’s NWSL College Draft in Baltimore.
South Jersey native Tziarra King (Sicklerville, N.J. / NC State) is No. 7 in TopDrawerSoccer.com’s Big Board. University of Virginia teammates Phoebe McClernon (West Chester, Pa.) and Meghan McCool (Glenside, Pa.) are listed at No. 16 and No. 22 by the website.
Other local players on the big board include Madie Gibson (Cape May, N.J. / Monmouth) at No. 46 and Haley Crawford (Port Matilda, Pa. / James Madison / Lancaster Inferno) at No. 49 in the list of 50 players.
Other players on the eligible list include local college players Maci Bower (Millville, Pa. / La Salle University), Jenna Fannon (Newark, Del. / Goldey-Beacom), Emma Wagner (Philadelphia, Pa. / University of Pennsylvania) and Kristen Vinciguera (Villanova University).
UPDATE: UPenn players Cameo Hazlewood, Emily Sands (West Chester, Pa.) and Emma Loving (Doylestown, Pa.) and Villanova goalkeeper Rebecca Gartner were on the updated list released on Wednesday night. Sarah Segan (Fogelsville, Pa. / William & Mary) was also added to the list.
Rounding out the list of players with local ties are Monmouth teammates Amanda Knaub (Enola, Pa.) and Lexie Palladino (Medford, N.J.), University of Florida forward/defender Vanessa Kara (Burlington, N.J.), Caldwell University defender/midfielder Amber Raines (Millville, N.J.), Maryland goalkeeper Erin Seppi (FC Bucks) and Rutgers forward/defender Tienny Wiltshire (Bridgeton, N.J.).
