Rate the U Results: Ratings reflect ugly loss in Chicago

MLS: Philadelphia Union at Chicago Fire Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

An ugly and frustrating loss to the Chicago Fire, where the Union were unable to mount a comeback despite being up a man for the entire second half was reflected in the Community Player Ratings poll.

Jack Elliott finished with the highest rating at 3.14 but only because someone had to finish with the highest rating. He was one of only two players to have an average rating of better than 3.

One caveat is that there was low participation in the poll. Rather than take out the frustration by handing out low ratings to players, some people just opted out altogether with only 37 responses.

Aurelien Collin had the lowest rating with just a 1.51 average and Andrew Wooten and Fafa Picault both had sub-2 average ratings. If there was a night where the Union could have used Wooten showing his 2. Bundesliga form it was on Saturday night in Bridgeview, but it wasn’t meant to be.
