Updates

90+5’ And that’s all! The Union pull this one out. They may be a bit lucky to claim all three points here, but that’s what first-place teams do.

78’ Elliott gives the Union the lead!!! This one counts! Off a free kick once again, Collin nodded the ball onto to Elliott, who hit the ball off his face, then the crossbar, before finally heading it home off the rebound.

76’ Medunjanin is putting on a passing clinic tonight. Two inch-perfect long balls there. He recorded his ninth assist of the season earlier in this one.

59’ Jack Elliott just scored on a free kick, but it was called back for offside. Ilsinho is now on for Andrew Wooten.

54’ Monteiro in for Creavalle. Not a moment too soon.

51’ Blake just did enough to knock a ball out of Ramirez’s path, and then came off his line to cut down the angle on another opportunity. Wagner made the final clearance. Houston with three chances already in this half.

46’ Jack Elliott prevents Ramirez’s brace. The striker nearly had his second after chipping one past Andre Blake, who came off his line.

42’ Christian Ramirez ties it up. Houston’s new acquisition smashed one in off the volley after slipping past Haris Medunjanin. Collin stepped to him just as he shot, but he did so in vain.

39’ Marco Fabián serves up a beautiful cross after a corner. He put it on a platter for Aurélien Collin, who really should have made it 2-0.

18’ Przybyłko scores! He hit one hard at Joe Willis, who made a mess of it. Przybyłko held up an “O Captain, My Captain” shirt in celebration, a nod to Bedoya’s celebration from last week.

And we’re underway. The Union are attacking toward the River End.

Starting lineups

Jim Curtin has opted for the same lineup that thumped DC United last weekend, meaning that Jamiro Monteiro and Auston Trusty have been left on the bench. For Houston, Christian Ramirez and José Bizama get their debuts, while Joe Willis returns to the starting lineup.
