Fan who suffered medical emergency in stands at Talen Energy Stadium dies

A fan sitting near the goal in Section 117 who received medical attention during the weather delay at Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday has passed away.

The Philadelphia Union released a statement about the unnamed fan on Sunday afternoon.

“The Philadelphia Union are saddened to learn of the passing of a fan last night at Talen Energy Stadium due to a medical emergency. All Union fans are like family, and the club expresses its deepest condolences and sorrows to those affected by this loss.”
