The Philadelphia Union built a brick wall built in front of net last Sunday when they traveled to play Minnesota United. Philadelphia came home with a win and three thanks to the defensive wall in front of net. The Union ended up with 13 blocked shots and and Andre Blake ended up with 4 saves.
Auston Trusty was a big part of that brick wall and scored the game winner in the 86th minute.
He received a 4.28 out of 5 from the Community Ratings poll to collect his first Player of the Week honor this season.
Ilsinho (4.23), Andre Blake (4.2) and Haris Medjunanin (4.2), all finished near the top of the poll. Ilsinho set up the game-winner after subbing in late, Andre Blake had four saves and Haris Medunjanin scored a beautiful goal off of a set piece right off of the 18 yard line.
At the bottom of the poll were Ray Gaddis (2.91) Marco Fabian (2.89) and Warren Creavalle (2.78).
The Union return home tonight to face the New York Red Bulls at 7:30 p.m. The Union remain in first place in the Eastern Conference.
