Philadelphia Union to hold kickoff party and Pride Night this weekend

The Union has teamed up with the Philadelphia Falcons and Stonewall Sports to throw a kick off party Friday ahead of Saturday’s Pride Night festivities

Philadelphia Union fans will be able to participate in a couple pride activities in advance of the 31st Pride Parade and Festival this Sunday.

The first is a Pride Weekend Kickoff Party the Union has teamed up with L GBTQA soccer club the Philadelphia Falcons and Stonewall Sports to throw at 12th and Locust. Sean Brace will emcee and activities include a “Soccer for All” mini soccer field that will be set up for 5v5 soccer.

“Soccer for All” is a league-wide initiative dedicated to providing an environment in which staff, players, partners and fans are treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, disability, sexual orientation or socioeconomic status.

Pride Night will be held at Talen Energy Stadium on Saturday night.

Prior to the New York Red Bulls game, fans will be able to take photos at the Pride Photo spot, get a temporary tattoo from Union Chief Tattoo Officer Bonedaddy’s or dive for prizes in an adult ball pit. Limited edition Pride warm-up tops will be available for purchase at the Union Shop and the first 5,000 fans will receive a Pride Rally Bandana.

The Union and Sons of Ben will participate in Sunday’s Pride Parade for the second straight year. Union fans are encouraged meet up with the group between 10 and 10:30 a.m. at 13th an Locust streets.
