The Philadelphia Union U19s may have lost the game and their chance at advancing to the quarterfinals in California yesterday, but they didn’t go down without a fight. Twice they came back from being down a goal to tie the game before ultimately falling 3-2 to Sockers FC.

Both goals were pretty. The first was set up through some wonderful passing through the middle with Jack de Vries delivering a pass to Antek Sankiel, who one-touched it to Patrick Bohui, whose shot hit off the goal post and went in.

The second was an individual effort from Selmir Miscic that was reminiscent of Ilsinho’s equalizer against the New York Red Bulls earlier this month. The 16-year-old Bethlehem Steel FC midfielder weaved his way through the Sockers defense and slotted home to tie the game at 2-2 in the 54th minute.

The Ilsinho comparison wasn’t lost on fans, who attached some Ilsinho-inspired nicknames to the U.S. youth international.
