Philadelphia Union Academy and Bethlehem Steel FC midfielder Jack de Vries is up for Development Academy top play for a goal against PA Classics on June 1 that can only be described with adjectives.
De Vries, a 17-year-old U.S. youth international, scored off a cross from Patrick Bohui that he hit first time in the 90th minute of a game played at Villanova University. It was his second goal of the season for the U19s and sixth overall between the U17 and U19 teams in DA play.
De Vries has played 120 minutes in three appearances and a couple of starts for the Steel. He’s verbally committed to the University of Virginia for the fall of 2020.
What about this ridiculous one-timer from Jack de Vries of @PhilaUnion? pic.twitter.com/LD5tCFMdEo
