Union and Rapids kill time in rain delay playing Connect Four on Twitter

The Rapids official account challenged the Union account to a game of Connect Four on Twitter. The Union smoked them.

MLS: Colorado Rapids at Philadelphia Union Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

With the start of the game delayed by an hour because of nearby lightning, the Colorado Rapids official Twitter account challenged the Philadelphia Union account to a game of Connect Four on Wednesday night.

It didn’t go too well for the Rapids. The Union account set an effective trap in eight moves and basically dropped the mic on the game, leaving the board unfinished.

Hopefully, it’s a harbinger of what’s to come — the Union winning part at least.
