The Philadelphia Union return to Talen Energy Stadium tonight, where they’ll look to make it six straight wins at home. Tonight’s opponent is their toughest yet, as a hot Seattle Sounders FC side is in town. Both teams sit second in their respective conferences, and neither has lost a game in their last five.
The Sounders are coming off a 2-1 win over Orlando City SC on Wednesday night, so some rotation is likely. Jordan Morris, Seattle’s joint-leading scorer with four, will not be available tonight. He did not travel due to a hamstring strain he sustained mid-week. Raúl Ruidíaz, the other Sounder with four goals, is back to full health after missing all of April with an ankle injury. Ruidíaz hit the opener against Orlando, and Handwalla Bwana, who is set to start in place of Morris, scored the winner.
Andre Blake is set to return to the Union lineup, having missed four games with a torn groin. Marco Fabián, who started in Toronto after an ankle injury precluded him from four games, is currently listed as questionable. Given that uncertainty, expect another appearance from Brenden Aaronson this week.
