Bedoya does homerun celebration in front of three Phillies in River End

Vince Velasquez, Nick Williams and David Robertson picked a great night to go to a Philadelphia Union game

A week after participating in a Sixers-inspired basketball celebration, Alejandro Bedoya mimicked hitting a homerun after scoring the game winner in stoppage time with three Philadelphia Phillies in the stands.

The Phillies lost on Saturday afternoon for just the second time this season to the Twins but Vince Velasquez, Nick Williams and David Robertson got to celebrate a win with the Sons of Ben thanks to Bedoya’s first goal of the season just seven minutes after Cory Burke’s equalizer.

The Philadelphia Union captain visited Phillies spring training in Clearwater in February and he threw out the first pitch at a Phillies game shortly after being acquired by the Union in August 2016.

The win for the Union was their third straight after losing two to start the year and drawing Atlanta United on the road.

They’ll travel to Los Angeles next weekend to take on the Los Angeles Galaxy with just the Eagles and Flyers of the major Philadelphia pro sports teams to pay homage to in a goal celebration.
