The matchup between Mexico internationals Jonathan dos Santos and Marco Fabián only lasted a little over 20 minutes on Saturday night in Carson.
Fabián exited the game in the 23rd minute after going down with a left ankle injury. He was replaced by Fafa Picault.
He went down in the center circle after making a backward pass to Alejandro Bedoya on the run and landed awkwardly on his left ankle. Before exiting the field, he stopped to greet dos Santos, his teammate on Mexico’s 2018 World Cup squad.
