Shanyder Borgelin returned to the Philadelphia Union U19 team a day after being announced as the latest professional signing by Bethlehem Steel FC and marked the occasion with a 11th minute equalizer.

The goal, Borgelin’s fouth of the season, canceled out a fourth minute opener for the New York Red Bulls, which hosted the Atlantic Division contest that ended in a 1-1 draw. Borgelin played the full 90 minutes and could be an option off the bench for Steel FC head coach Brendan Burke in their match in Chester against Charleston Battery tomorrow.

The Union U17s were also held to a 1-1 draw against the Red Bulls. Aboubacar Camara scored an equalizer in the 77th minute, four minutes after the Red Bulls took a 1-0 lead. The game was the final league match for the U17s ahead of the Generation adidas Cup finals in Frisco, Texas, which kick off tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. eastern in a Premier Division match against Sporting Kansas City. The Union U17s second game on Sunday against Monterrey will be broadcast live on Twitch at 1:30 p.m.

The U16 development team played Arlington Soccer Association at home last Saturday at YSC and grabbed a late 1-0 win after Marco Silva was brought down in the box for a penalty and converted from the spot.

The U15s stayed unbeaten for the season and recorded their sixth straight win in a 2-0 victory over the Red Bulls. Quinn Sullivan and Zion Scarlett both scored for the Union and Owen Moore recorded the clean sheet.

The team will open their GA Cup finals on Wednesday against Monterrey at 10 a.m. eastern.

The U14s were off for the weekend but the U13s fell 3-1 to the Red Bulls on Saturday at the Red Bull Training Facility. Dylan Falcone had the lone Union goal in the 50th minute that cut the lead in half after James Reed had back-to-back goals a minute apart to start the second half.

While the U17 and U15 teams are in Texas, the other teams have a break in their league schedule until the end of the month.
