Doolsta wins eMLS Cup, will represent U.S. in FIFA eNations Cup

West Chester teenager’s profile continues to grow in the world of esports

Cormac “Doolsta” Dooley added to his trophy case on Saturday night, winning eMLS Cup to capture the esports treble after winning two previous league trophy competitions on the circuit.

The West Chester 18-year-old completed his journey from competing in a local open competition staged by the Philadelphia Union last year to the second-ever eMLS Cup champion in front of a packed house at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston.

He did it with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over LA Galaxy’s Giuseppe “GGGodfather” Guastella in the second leg of the final after playing to a scoreless draw in the first leg.

With the eMLS Cup win, Doolsta earned a $15,000 prize and 850 FIFA Global Series Points, which determine qualifiers for this summer’s FIFA eWorldCup. He’ll also represent the U.S. — along with GGodfather — in the first ever FIFA eNations Cup taking place in London from April 13-14.
