For the first time ever, Philadelphia Union faced FC Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati on Saturday night. With the 2-0 win, the Union won their second straight and extended their unbeaten streak to three after dropping the first two games on the year. The loss ended FC Cincinnati’s three-game unbeaten streak.
Marco Fabian opened the scoring off an assist from David Accam and Accam picked up his third goal in two games. Andre Blake also made a key save to deny Roland Lamah what would have been an equalizer in the 51st minute.
