Andre Blake, Cory Burke, Warren Creavalle and Matt Real will be back on international duty and will be unavailable for selection for the March 23 game at home against Columbus Crew.
Blake and Burke are returning to the Jamaica national team for the final match of Concacaf Nations League qualifying at El Salvador on March 23 and an international friendly in Costa Rica on March 26. The Reggae Boyz are in fifth place out of 34 teams and would clinch a berth in both League A of the 2019-2020 nations league and the 2019 Gold Cup with a win.
Creavalle will back with Guyana for a Concacaf Nations League qualifier against Belize on March 23. Guyana is in eighth place in qualifying.
Real received a call-up to the United States U20 team for a trip to Spain that includes games against France on March 22 and Japan on March 25.
The United States U23 team will also be holding a camp in Spain, but the roster has not been announced so it’s possible the Union could lose additional players for that camp.
The Crew will also be missing three players for the game at Talen Energy Stadium. Zack Steffen, Wil Trapp and Gyasi Zardes received call-ups to the United States Men’s National Team for their friendlies against Ecuador and Chile.
Blake’s absence will open up the opportunity for Brazilian goalkeeper Carlos Miguel Coronel to make his Union debut. The 23-year-old is on loan from RB Salzburg.
