Camden County and RCSJ - Gloucester in NJCAA quarterfinals

Division III men’s and women’s championships, which kick off today, each feature a team from South Jersey

Two teams from South Jersey are in the national championships kicking off today for NJCAA Division III.

Rowan College of South Jersey - Gloucester’s women’s team, seeded No. 8, is taking on the top-seeded Brookhaven (Texas) at 10:30 a.m. this morning in Dryden, N.Y. The Roadrunners lost to Brookhaven in the semifinals in their last trip to the national finals in 2017 and in the quarterfinals in 2016. This is their fourth appearance in the national finals in the last five seasons. The Roadrunners came in second in the 2012 tournament.

Third-seeded Camden County College plays No. 6 seed Bunker Hill Community College at 6:30 p.m. in Herkimer, N.Y. in their seventh straight appearance in the NJCAA national finals. The Cougars made the semifinals in 2017 and 2015 and the final in 2016.

Both quarterfinal matches will be streamed live on NJCAA Championship TV ($). The semifinals for both tournaments will be played on Friday followed by the final on Sunday. RCSJ - Gloucester would play at 3:30 p.m. and Camden County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday if they advance.
