MLS: Atlanta United FC at Philadelphia Union Derik Hamilton-USA TODAY Sports

Decision Day is here, and it’s a bit anticlimactic. After giving chase to New York City FC over the past few weeks, the Union have come up short in their pursuit of an Eastern Conference title. There is still plenty to play for this afternoon, as the Union can still wrest second place from Atlanta United.

The Union are without Sergio Santos and Alejandro Bedoya today, with the latter out due to a quad strain he sustained against Columbus Crew SC. That is likely to mean that Marco Fabián returns to the starting lineup after failing to make the XI in three of the last four games.

Kacper Przybyłko can make Union history tonight. The big Polish-German striker is one goal short of the Union’s single-season goalscoring record. CJ Sapong set the mark with 16 in 2017.

Projected lineups

Philadelphia Union: Andre Blake; Ray Gaddis, Jack Elliott, Mark McKenzie, Kai Wagner; Haris Medunjanin, Jamiro Monteiro; Brenden Aaronson, Marco Fabián, Fafa Picault; Kacper Przybyłko

New York City FC: Sean Johnson; Maxime Chanot, James Sands, Alexander Callens; Anton Tinnerholm, Alex Ring, Maxi Moralez, Ronald Matarrita; Alexandru Mitriță, Valentín Castellanos, Héber
