The Philadelphia Union has been in existence for 10 seasons now, making it to the MLS Cup Playoffs only four times without winning any playoff games. Sunday evening in Chester that all changed. Philadelphia ended up winning in extra time with the game-winning goal scored in the 105th minute by Marco Fabian, who was substituted in moments before.
This was a moment that not many people who were at attendance of the game will ever forget and will good down as one of the best games in the Philadelphia Union franchise.
Players who played on the Union in the past sounded off on social media during and after the game to send their congratulations.
John McCarthy, former Philadelphia Union goal keeper who played with the team up until last year before signing with the Tampa Bay Rowdies sent his love over Twitter during and after the game.
