Philadelphia Union preseason schedule released

Players will report on Monday and begin training at Penn Park on Tuesday

The boys in blue will be back in town on Monday as preseason officially kicks off for the Philadelphia Union with entrance physicals followed by the first day of training under the bubble at Penn Park on Tuesday.

After a week training in Philadelphia, the team will head to Clearwater, Florida for the the first of two training camps. The first camp runs from January 28 to February 7 and includes scrimmages at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex against the New York Red Bulls (Wednesday, January 30 / 3 p.m.), the University of South Florida (Saturday, February 2 / 7 p.m.) and Birmingham Legion FC (Wednesday, February 6 / 7 ET).

The team will be back in Philadelphia from February 8-10 before heading back to Clearwater from February 11-24. They’ll play Orlando City SC in a closed-door scrimmage on February 12 at Noon and play additional matches that haven’t been announced yet.

Previously announced fan events scheduled for Clearwater include an open practice from 10 a.m.-Noon on February 21, followed by a fan lunch from Noon-1:30 p.m. There will also be a youth clinic with the Chargers Soccer Club on February 19 beginning at 6 p.m. at Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex.
