The Union gave up the first goal less than a minute after having a goal (correctly) called off for offside and after a Houston Dynamo player got an uncontested cross into the box, Mauro Manotas headed the ball home after Jack Elliot and Andre Blake failed to communicate who had the ball and who had the man.
The Union turned up the pressure, going close a number of times and had a number of good chances from free kicks, however they were unable to convert any of them.

The Union fell behind by two goals as Manotas shredded Aaron Trusty and was allowed a ton of space by Elliot, and his shot hit the post and bounced into the back of the net, just past the outstretched hand of Blake.
The Union have dug themselves a pretty significant hole, let’s see if they can climb out.
