For the second time this month, the Philadelphia Union offense was clicking on Saturday to the tune of a 4-0 win over Vancouver Whitecaps.
Unlike last time, a 5-0 thrashing of the Richmond Kickers, it wasn’t a USL team but a team in playoff position in the Western Conference that fell victim to the Union.
Borek Dockal led the way with a brace and Fafa Picault and Ilsinho chipped in goals from the penalty spot. Alejandro Bedoya and Ilsinho both had assists. Andre Blake, meanwhile, recorded a clean sheet without making a single save and the back line held up to keep zeros on the opponent’s side of the scoreboard for the sixth time this season.
All this on the same day Sebastien Le Toux was honored as the first Union legend in the Ring of Honor.
