The Philadelphia Union U19 team opened its postseason on Monday with a 3-0 win over Shattuck-St. Mary’s in Oceanside, California.
It took Iverson Brisma less than three minutes to put the U19s on the board when he opened the scoring in the third minute. Tonny Temple doubled the lead in the 18th minute and Shaynder Borgelin added an insurance goal off the bench in the 81st minute.
Borgelin’s goal was his fourth in six games for the U19s this season while Temple connected on his 19th and Brisma’s game-winner was his seventh.
